Technical fabrics nowadays are used in many fields of application, especially in military defense systems. Namely camouflaging, military suits, body armours systems, vehicles light weight armours, aircrafts and helicopters, and field hospitals, etc.

In this workshop, five talkers presented the importance and usage, manufacturing and treatments, evaluation and testing, and finally, manufacturing the final application products coming from different types of technical fabrics.

The first talk, titled “Body Armours Systems, Importance and Evaluation”,

The second talk is “Transforming Fabrics: The Future of Technical Textile Treatments,

The third talk deals with testing and evaluation, “Studding the Mechanical and Physical Behaviour of soft Panels Body Armours,

the fourth talk, “Technology Challenges of Testing Methodologies for Effective Personal Protective Equipment’s and Clothing Against Mine Blast,

Finally, a spotlight talks about modern assets built especially for these types of products.

The target of this workshop is to illustrate and spotlight the importance of dissolving science and research and technology for extracting modern needed special products, hardly to import it under challenge circumstances.
